New England’s 2018 NFL draft class includes seven players that were drafted in the first round, including former LSU standout Michael Gallup.
The New England Patriots selected Gallup with the 28th overall pick, while the Houston Texans selected former Clemson standout David Njoku.
The Patriots and Texans were in the midst of their NFL drafts when Gallup was drafted.
Gallup played his first three seasons in Baton Rouge, where he played under coach Bobby Bowden.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound Gallup finished his career with 1,074 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns.
He also led Clemson to a school-record 38 straight bowl appearances from 2010-14.
